I can't complete the mermaid quest where the stone tablet gives the directions to follow and hit 'slash' button in the end, I followed the walkthrough but it doesn't work.

I think I might have fixed it. Go to www/img/pictures. Copy Custom1_1.rpgmvp, paste it in www/img/faces and rename it to Custom1.rpgmvp. It worked for me. Hope it helps.
It's right where Steel said it was. The contents of the folder should be organized by name, which will make locating the file a cakewalk, but if it isn't, either click "View" on the tool bar up top, "Sort by". Or use the little search bar in the upper right corner and search for "Custom".
