I know most people know only of the anime adaptions, but if you want to play REAL good VNs, then check out Canaan, Air, Tsukihime, F/S Night, The Sagara Family, Snow Sakura........ theres tons
Most of them dont have much or any animations, and 'only' have 2d Anime Artwork - besides being about 20-ish years old
But if your looking for Visual Novels with awesome stories, then nothing can compare to those.
NLT might be more fappable, but i doubt them giving birth to a whole franchise ala Nasuverse
