Go to Resources > app.nw
Replace config.set file with patch (after making a backup)
Launch game.
When the game says you have an altered file and asks you if you want to change it back say no.

yes just download and play the new version saves are stored on your user data on windows files
just download update - it saves all your progress in C:programfiles (i believe) so newer version of game wil pick up progress from there.
