MAC: Right click on Game.app and choose "Show Package Contents"
Go to Resources > app.nw
Replace config.set file with patch (after making a backup)
Launch game.
When the game says you have an altered file and asks you if you want to change it back say no.
Save Location:

There isnt a money grind. As the story progresses, you are given faster ways to earn money. If you play the game normally, and dont try to max out your house in the first 30% of the game. youll be fine

Using winrar or winzip you can extract its contents to the game folder in you PC that contains all the files for this game
