Good enough until confronting the psycho bitch enslaving your girlfriend. She's running a slavery ring and I'm supposed to be scared of her? What's she going to do, call the cops? Slavery is illegal. Get your girl's testimony on video in case something happens to her and just push the psycho bitch down the stairs.

Remember when you wound up in the hospital. You lose your phone because it was destroyed for having evidence on it, and everyone tries to tell you you were just in an accident and nothing more.
If there were more legit means of dealing with the antagonists, the group you work with would employ those. But because those means are compromised, more drastic steps are necessary.
But the cops being corrupt only matters if you get CAUGHT crushing her skull and pushing her down the stairs. Regardless, I doubt the dean has all the feds in his pocket, you don't go to local Boss Hog road pirates to bust slavery rings this big, you bring in real investigators with IQs above 100.
I only follow up on 2 visual novels now because every game developer has one problem in each game. either the main character is dumb, scared, boring. or certain kinks are forced upon the player. It really annoyed the shit out of me. as a straight man, I like women. but since I value straightness, I don't want my women to be lesbians. unfortunately game developers don't consider the girl's points of views as well. which is why less women play these games.
