So on the otherworld after the torch area there is a maze with some gates that raise from the ground and some ghost that keep chasing you add that to pillars blocking every exit....i have no idea to where i am supposed to go.....

The Painkiller pills? Get the key from upstairs bathroom, then get pills from downstairs bathroom.
What should I do for the first Mom quest with the painkillers? How to get rid of them?
Get the key in the first floor bathroom. Then use it on the cabinet in the second floor bathroom top right corner.
