She’s settling into university life, though the rent is doing more damage to her nerves than the ghost stories. An essay on Poe needs her attention, and accepting help means deciding who she wants to spend time with. Then an invitation from the Dark Brotherhood gives her another reason to put the books aside.
I like that she still has ordinary things to worry about here. A strange night doesn’t pay for her room or finish her essay. She has to get up the next morning and deal with both.
