My New Daughter's Lover [v0.82] [DerketoGames]

The game “My New Daughter’s Lover” tells the story of Macario, a former professional boxer who loses all his belongings and is arrested due to a tax problem. Fortunately, Miranda, the daughter of his new girlfriend (who is absent), helps him out of that situation.

In a vulnerable situation, they both decide to start living together, pretending to be a family while awaiting the return of Mónica. However, neither of them is prepared for the events to come.

Characters

Macario. The protagonist of this story, in his youth, was a professional boxer who was forced to retire prematurely; moreover, due to that incident, he lost his loved ones.

Miranda. Daughter of Mónica, Macario’s new girlfriend, she is a very shy and insecure girl who ends up helping Macario at the last minute. Because of this, they start living together to support each other.

Mónica. She is Miranda’s mother and Macario’s new girlfriend, a social worker who helped Macario change his lifestyle, and they ended up dating; but this time, she couldn’t help Macario with his problem.

Claudia. A kind waitress whom Macario meets at the beginning of the story; you’ll learn more about her as you start playing the story.

Sarah. Claudia’s mischievous sister, she seems to take everything as a joke and is very insolent; you’ll learn more about her as the story progresses.

The “other” girl. The shadow of the past, she is part of a chapter of your previous life that you have been trying to forget all this time.

Installation:

Windows/Linux/Mac: Download the compressed file, unzip, and play.

Android: Download the “apk” and install it. Allow the app to write to your device’s storage in case you cannot save your progress. Sometimes Android will warn you that the app is from an untrusted source and advise caution when installing, but as long as you have downloaded the game from official sources, there’s no need to worry.

Visual Enhancements: The contrast of all game images has been corrected to prevent them from looking too dark. Additionally, images prior to version 0.2 have received a filter to reduce noise, along with the contrast improvement.

Audio Implementation: Ambient music has been included throughout the game. This is one of the most requested features, and though I don’t have many tracks yet, more will be added as the game progresses.

Animation Improvements: The contrast enhancements also apply to videos. More importantly, sound effects have been implemented in animations to complement the background music, enhancing immersion in romantic scenes.

Interaction Enhancements: While there are limited interactions in the game and only one with consequences, an option has been added for encounters. You can now choose how to finish an encounter, either “inside” or “outside”. This improvement is only available in the final encounter of this version and in v0.9. Additionally, the gradient image has been replaced with a button similar to the text in the options.

Translation Improvement: A new translation has been done. Up to the middle of version 0.6 has been translated by a native English speaker, and the rest has been done and reviewed by myself to avoid continuity errors. While it isn’t perfect, it’s much better than before.

UI Enhancements: The text size has been slightly reduced to prevent overlap with the quick access menu, and the text outline has been increased for better readability. The black background in the main menu has been removed (on Android, only the opacity has been reduced).
