Pretty big difference. Unless you are talking about game play or something. Should be the same, but compression does cause issued on occasion.

I've never noticed any difference in gameplay, between compressed and uncompressed versions. If there is, it's very minor. Some people are unable to use the compressed version apparently, and I think that's the only reason why the Dev still offers an uncompressed one
