Yes we need renpy version
The stairway is on the far left wall. You must be going down the passageway that leads to Ethan and Liam's offices, when they are in the game. They aren't in this update, so it goes nowhere.
The renpy version is not produced by Deepsleep. It usually comes out a week or two after the official version. So I wouldn't expect it until next week at the earliest
