Did you try to copy paste your old save file and global save file into the save folder of the new version ? it worked for me.
I have a big problem i ran into today, im at 38-39 % and i've missed a radiator or something is wrong beacuse im not able to get the jump boots becuase the lazer is still on over there. I've checked every single part in every room still dont manage to figure out what i've done wrong. I've read the Guide aswell, one thing is that there is a radiator turned off but i can't turned it on for some weird reason, anyone have the same problem ?

In the room has 4 switches. Turn off the 2nd and 3rd switch.
