Where do I get the voice recorder?

I can't get Ritas story to progress
says two strange girls are waiting for me in hints, and the ninja girls hints say talk to them
but talking to them they say they are not ready to do photo shoot.
walktrough says I need to talk to ninja girls then rita but nothing happens.
anyone have any ideas?
