Im stuck there too, i click everywhere but nothing happen. I also have the first quest for the Eric's book and i think i had the book but i cant complete the quest, if im wrong i dont know wheere exaclty the book is. sorry for my broken English
After you've gotten the quest, you need to talk to Eric in the school during the day. Then the book will be lootable on a shiny bookcase in the school.

Most RPG games here are made on RPGM, it's implied. If you've actually played any of the good ones you'd realize that. Calling a game bad because it's using a certain engine is just as ignorant and stupid as your comment
