My bad, maybe the context where not as obvious as I though. The fact is that I never accepted romancing Eliza, so “She is my girl.” can’t be interpret as “She is my girlfriend.”. So, how it is supposed to be interpreted?
In any case, you are mingling things, saying that someone is our “husband”, “wife”, “boyfriend”, “girlfriend”, “friend” is not the same as saying that they are our “boy” or “girl” because these latter have a more ownership-oriented meaning (don’t bring the parent–children context here, as said, it’s not the same context).
I’m not going to talk about your two other examples since their context have absolutely nothing to do with what we are talking here.

I am not sure weather you are not too bright or just shallow. Sometimes it is good to just follow the story. These renders are the highest quality of any I have ever seen. It is not easy to make an anime of that quality. The Dev went for quality rather than quantity.
