A 35-year old former hacker turned cyber security expert decides to return home after a decade away making a living for himself in Silicon Valley where he had found love and stability, but haplessly lost it all. He bunks in with his older stepsister and her 2 daughters initially while figuring out exactly what he wants from life.
It's up to you to guide him and the choices he makes as he gets reacquainted (sometimes way more than he expects to) with his hardworking stepsister, 2 polar opposite stepnieces, a fascinating family friend, a grumpy cat, and other enigmatic individuals who stroll into their lives. Ultimately, one way or another, he'll find out that there truly is No Place Like Home.
Although No Place Like Home can be played as a standalone story, several characters and plot points will cross over fromĀ Powers That Be, so do check out our other game if you want to get the full experience!

- The Official BOG Walkthrough Mode has been implemented! If you want to know the effects of your in-game choices, switch it on in the settings! (Warning: kinda cheating!)
- Rewrites and reprogramming for several earlier scenes to better distinguish relationships based on previous choices
- Added over 30 new Animations to previous chapters and this new chapter, testing new Animation Styles
- We recommend Restarting a new playthrough due to numerous backend changes. You may otherwise encounter unintended future senseless plot changes and/or game-breaking issues should you choose not to. It will also give you a chance to check out the new renders and animations, as well as use the Walkthrough Mode to play the game the way you intended!
The MC is not as bad as the MC from Powers That Be, and the game is not bad. My problem with this dev as many others, they don't finish a game before moving on to another game, you can't finish Powers That Be if you are working on another slow burn game.
3-4 games. And few progress in each. No sex tags here. After 280+ days of development.
Why not complete 1 game first?
Then start second game. Or start second game 1-2 months before finish the previous game.
This scheme of 3-4 (or 15 drunk robot) incomplete games no longer fools the vast majority of players.
I am confused on how long it takes to build these games... It's basically still images and text. Like the same time for some triple a games? I just don't get it.
A lot of unnecessary time on a lot of these kinds of VN projects is spent posing characters and rendering still images with no reuse value because they're so incredibly specific to a single moment that lasts a couple lines of dialogue and/or narration.
Probably nowhere near the only thing eating up a dev's time but you know, just in case you just wanted to feel justified in being upset about how long they take, that's definitely one of the points where they are just wasting a lot of time.
I've seen devs say they take 10-15 minutes to create each image ("good quality" / not amazing). But you need to have knowledge. Posing and rendering.
But some are very slow and take 2+ hours for each image (same "good quality" / not amazing).
In other words, some artists are faster and more competent than others.
Might have given this a try until I saw that very annoying Russian chick from powers that be in the above picture. Really bad character.
Assume you are referring to Nika? No I never saw her in it. But I only played until chapter 5 before i was disgusted enough to quit. No but the other annoying character from that game is in it. Lance. All the good characters were not carried over. However the stupid one liner conversations did make it in.

At least tell us if 50 (and 2 minutes update) or 500 renders.
If Dev tell nothing, i bet in 100 or less renders. Better wait more 1 year.
Er, the game barely has 500 renders after 2 years. It seems unlikely there'll ever be an update that big considering it's blatently obvious the dev is making this so he can slow down development of his other games.
At this rate the game should be completed by 2067.
i DMed the dev on their Discord and they said they were originally targeting to finish it by 3000, but due to fan demand they'll do their best to try for 2099. lol.
Can you ask them to put in better changelogs so we know what's in each update?

Okay, the graphics aren't the best and that enlarged cat looks out of place, but I really liked the story and how the MC gets caught between the passions of the two polar opposite step nieces of his...one a slutty party girl and the other a shy nerd. I think in the long run an intersting plot and some hot sex are far better for a VN than fancy 3DCG renderings and a lot of excessive witty dialog intended to make the interaction seem more realistic. VN's are about lewd fantasies...not real life which most of us are bored to tears with or we wouldn't be downloading free porn material from this site! I gave this one 4 stars as a reward for the what the dev produced.
