Straitened Times is a game about a young guy living together with a small Commune of Mother superior, holy Father and two novice Sisters (none blood related ;)). One day his happy life was over when Father was arrested for financial thievery and your Commune has to start once over from the bottom. And the bottom is 2 rooms in a shady motel ā the only place they could afford.
Now our protagonist has become the man of the Commune and itās only for you to decide what kind of life heāll be living from now on. Minding that now he has to share a room or a bed with one of the women.ā

The worst part of this game is the grinding. If only the game had a story mode with it's variety of dialogue options, then it would be a pretty good fap game. Decent steamy scenes. The story is weird due to its repetitive dialogue. Same scenes over and over again, so it will work on your damn nerves after a few hours. Skip button helps alot, but not much. I'd say 2.8 / 5 stars seems reasonable.
It's not the worst if you get the modded cheat version. Or mod the file to cheat yourself. Definitely wouldn't play without the cheats tho lol
To understand how much there is a grind: even the modded version with cheats is grindy as fuck, because much of the lewd stuff depends on being in the right place at the right time. The only way to skip the grind is to download saved game files from other sites, but it takes away much of any immersion.

I haven't played for many versions, but in the version I played, it wasn't possible to romance the half-sisters without also romancing their mom. I'm not attracted to older women, is it still impossible in new versions to continue the half-sister romance without getting frenched by their mom?

I upvoted you because I like your comment and is a good question. You can have romance with Jill and Lily. if you avoid the mom, her friendship level lowers. But there are events that have family foursome. You may have to participate to raise allure for the sisters in order advance in the romance to get new events. There are situations where you have visit the Second family at old address and Lily needs to be there to trigger events to raise allure in her stats. Check MC's mobile phone menu to see how you progress with each character.
For a large portion of interaction with mom you can avoid.

I hope dev revises the iterations you have to repeat to get new scenes. I can tolerate up to 2 repeats. And remove the one week cooldown to use sex toys in photo shoot at Phoenix studio.
