@smut i think you can find the ruler in mc´s house, if i remember right in front of mcs sisters room. the quest with the ball in the tree is a little buggy. at the right time you need to go to priscilla's garden behind her house(you need to click on the wall on the left of the frontdoor screen) and click on the tree.

Any idea on how to get money ?
