Funny to think that the subtitle means “God in the sheath/scabbard”. Because that’s what “vagina” means in Latin- it’s only the word for “female genitalia” as an English loan word, so if you use it in a blatantly Latin context (as in “Deus ex vagina”) it isn’t actually naughty at all. Heh.

I think that a more accurate translation is God *from* the…. because the latin Deus ex machina derives from ancient greek ἀπὸ μηχανῆς θεός, which means Divinity (descending) from the machine.

How did you type in Greek I’ve been trying to find a language text translater to type and translate in diff languages

actually vagina is called vagina (pronunced different but writes the same) in Spanish too. And Spanish comes from Latin. So there is surely a meaning of female genitalia there. If not how did we end up using it?

Actually yes. It is not for nothing that we have the metaphor about sheathing someone’s Sword – or in words from an all time favorite:
Holster your weapon at the Atomic Wrangler :).
