You're wrong, there were minor changes between this release and the public one (v0.7.6): a few characters outside the academy now have lines of their own when you click on them, instead of the placeholder "They seem pretty, I should not bother them".
Also, this release comes with cheats (as far as I've seen, you start the game with money at 9999.
