Story
The world is losing faith in its heroes. Once-celebrated protectors now find themselves facing growing suspicion and mistrust. Amid this turmoil, STALWART — a struggling superhero organization in New York City — fights to keep hope alive.
Michael Sharpe, a down-on-his-luck photographer, is given a rare chance at redemption when he’s unexpectedly recruited by the enigmatic Anna Morgenstern, the leader of STALWART. His task seems simple: capture the essence of the superheroes and restore their image. But there’s more to this job than meets the eye.
Anna sees something in Michael that even he doesn’t understand. The more he delves deeper into the world of STALWART and its flawed but beautiful heroes, the more he begins to realize that his role in this story is far greater than he ever imagined.

In this update, Phoebe Newton finally gets her interview with Michael Sharpe, while he tries to regain his freedom and individuality within the confines of STALWART. Meanwhile, another power player is making their move behind the scenes. Things are about to come to a head.
- Added: Two new story chapters for Phoebe Newton, including one sex scene.
- Added: A new card scenario for Phoebe, making her the fourth model in the game.

- Added: 5 new Challenge cards used in Phoebe’s scenario.
- Added: Double-click/double-tap on the discard pile to bring up a window showing all the cards currently in the discard pile. You can investigate any of the cards there by double-clicking/double-tapping on them.
- Added: Sudden Death Challenge deck used in certain scenarios when the Challenge deck runs out of cards before the end of a match.
- Added: 3 new Challenge cards used exclusively in the Sudden Death deck. These cards are far more dangerous than any other Challenge cards in the game.
- Added: Mechanics for tiered Challenge decks, currently only used in Phoebe’s scenario. Scenarios with tiered Challenge decks will replace the current deck with a new one at set points during a match.
- Added: Safe zone around the discard pile. If you drag a card to the discard pile and miss slightly, this should no longer count as an attempt to play the card.
- Changed: Reduced the Heat cost of the “One More Time” card from 6 to 3.
- Changed: On the turn you play “Backup Plan”, the first discard you make after playing the card will trigger its ability, even if you already discarded a card earlier that turn.
- Changed: Improved consistency for Heat vs Usable Heat descriptions.
- Changed: Various minor adjustments to texts across the game for clarity and correctness.
- Fixed: Incorrectly placed background ambience that didn’t load during Michael Chapter 10.
- Fixed: Potentially unstable code that could make the game crash under extremely rare circumstances, mostly during testing.
- Fixed: “Nothing Else Matters” could make Usable Heat go negative under certain conditions.
- Fixed: The initial hand draw in the Mulligan phase didn’t respect hand size penalties from Challenge cards.
- Known issue: If you experience flickering and graphical artifacts after the latest updates, press Shift+G in the game and select “Force ANGLE2 Renderer”, then restart the game. Please let me know if this fixes the problem for you.
